Is this possible with Zen Cart?

Hello I am wanting to set up a new site for pet registration.
It would need to take payments for registration and store customer details + a serial number of their pet and a photo.

The process would work like this:
Customers would need to be able to post their pet as lost on a notice board/ set their pet as lost on their account - this could be multiple pets.
Found pets will be sent to the admin or if a serial number can be provided a message sent to the owner letting them know the details of the peron who has found their pet and how to get in contact.
Maybe the serial number can show a photo to the person who has found the pet to confirm it is indeed the pet found but no customer details will be shared via the site.

Can this be done with Zen Cart or do I need to look for another program? If so, does anyone have any ideas?

My thoughts (yes it hurt - lol) Use Zencart for registration, account information, payment and link to a forum where lost and found could be posted.

ZenCart and phpBB play well with each other as does WordPress
