    Default problems accessing admin site

Hi folks. This could be in the upgrade section also, but:

Just moved a cart to a new server, and upgraded to latest zencart in the process. I can get to the user side, but the admin page gives this error:

Warning: include(includes/languages/english/) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/wmnfshop/clean/zen-cart/admin/includes/init_includes/init_languages.php on line 34

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'includes/languages/english/' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /var/www/vhosts/wmnfshop/clean/zen-cart/admin/includes/init_includes/init_languages.php on line 34

I've tried including the complete path in the configure WS_INCLUDES declaration, and that gives me a different error: class 'notifier' not found.

The new server is running debian 4.0; info here: http://shop.wmnf.org/info.php

    Ideas?

    thanks much

I suggest that you first do a clean install of the old version. Get it working on the server.
Then import your data. Get *that* working.
    Then do your upgrade.

The process of moving to another server is fully documented here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100

    Thanks for the reply.

Actually, I've tried that; the previously-working version produces the same error(s).

A little more info: this is a site running with cgi under nginx. I've seen references on the forums here to file/directory permissions, and those all seem to be correct (755).

The previous site was running as an apache module; I'm fearing that's the problem.

    Does that help?

    thanks

Sorry, I can't speak for the best way to configure nginx.

But I can tell you that if your paths are incorrect in your configure.php files, you're going to get odd file-not-found messages, and you're going to have session problems with silent unexpected failed logins etc.

I'm wondering if you may also have other issues with your debian setup, depending on which version you're using: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...ian#post571284

    Hi

I am also having trouble accessing the admin pages after moving to another server.

I changed the dns settings more than 12 hours ago and the propogation hasn't taken affect yet.

I have followed the instructions https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100 and the front end is working but when I add /admin and log in it is reverting to my old site login.

When I rang the cache fix tool initially it showed different settings but now it is showing it is fixed.

Do I have to wait until the dns propagation is completed or is there something else I am missing? I have also cleared the cache on my browser.

    Thanks

I found a temporary work around for this - edited both configure.php files and changed the domain name settings to the ip address and all is sweet now.
