Default Converting to 1.3.8a but on Vista

I'm in the process of converting my site to 1.3.8a BUT the problem is I'm also using a new laptop with Vista on board. I've loaded XAMPP latest version, and can do the comparison and mods on my laptop, but will I have a problem when I try to upload to my server?

I do not see how the local OS has any infulence on this - -As long as you are using web friendily editing applications and not word pad or word etc.

With Windows Vista, avoid installing under Program Files on your hard drive.
Vista doesn't allow you to edit any files when installed in Program Files. Instead,
it saves them under User/Virtual Store, or something like that.

    Hi.

My website runs Zencart 1.3.8a. I want to have a copy of the site on my local PC. Can someone tell me what is the highest release of XAMPP that is compatible with Vista and Zencart 1.3.8a?

    Thanks.

Any recent version of XAMPP would be compatible with Zen Cart 1.3.8a, so this is really only a question about compatibility with Vista. I'd be surprised if any recent version of XAMPP wasn't fully compatible with Vista too, but that's a question for the XAMPP forum.
