    Default Installing on 1&1 Host

    Hi,
i am a newbie with web technologies.
I heard about the webhosting server called 1 &1 . Do we have any opinions about this host?
Any review comments would be welcomed :)

Also is there any installation guide for this? Currently i am running zencart on my local PC(it is still in a testing phase), so would really appreciate if anyone can spend some time on this.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dee

A search of the forum for that host should give you lots of user feedback.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

You'll find some good recommended hosting choices if you click on the "hosting" link at the top of this page.

As for installation, you said you're running it on your PC already ... so apparently you know how to "install" Zen Cart already.

Granted, this assumes you have some familiarity with FTP programs (like FileZilla) to transfer files to/from the server, and take some time to familiarize yourself with your hosting company's control panel in order to create your MySQL database, etc. Their FAQs should help you in that area.

    Dee,

Did you find anything out about this host? I have a new client who uses this host and I'm about to install ZC on his site. I tried searching myriad ways on the forum for this host and found nothing.

Curious about any pitfalls I may run into as I have only done ZC shops on my preferred hosting company.

Due to a limitation of the search facility on short terms, the following search will help you see posts related to the myriad problems on 1&1 hosting:
