Default How do I add extra fields??

Why is it that a client gives you a list of 10 things to do for his site, and then when you;ve finished they give you another 12? Bah!

Bit of background: This site is used for sales reps to log in and order the company's promotional products. They must place monthly orders and have a limit of $250.00 per month spend per rep.

    So,

1.Can I "add" a drop down box or similar so that the rep can select "June" for this particular order?
    2. Any way of possibly setting an "account" credit limit that will only allow an order up to the value of $250.00
    3. Is there a mod that will have the normal Zen Cart checkout process trimmed from three pages to a single page?

and lastly can some products be available to some reps and not others?

Sorry for asking so many at once but, they've brought forward the completion date a month and want it finished by Friday

    Regards and thanks

All these would require some custom coding.

    1. Easy enough to add the dropdown, but getting the information where you want it can be tricky. There is a mod here http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=976 that adds a delivery date - you could modify that.

    2. Not that I can see - kind of flies in the face of what Zencart is designed for, but could be coded. You could issue the reps 'coupons' in that amount every month as a work-around.

    3. Yes, but it doesn't seem to work very well and hasn't been updated for two versions. It's in Downloads, if you want to use it to get started.

Lastly - no. There's a 'hide categories' mod that might offer some ideas.

    Thanks Stevesh,

I can sort of fudge my way around PHP , is that the sort of custom coding you mention or is it more like"
"Please Mr Stevesh would you or someone else be able to code it for me at an agreeable figure?"

Thanks for your reply, I'll checkout a couple of those suggestions in the meantime.

No it's more like "Please Mr. (or Ms.) Somebody who knows a whole lot more about PHP than stevesh"

For Custom coding - you can place your requirements in the Commercial Help Wanted forum.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
