Setting shipping charges for multiple countries

Is it possible to set a different flat rate shipping zone for multiple countries? I want to ship to the US, Canada, new zealand, australia & the united kingdom.

And can I set up per catrgory for shipping so the lighter stuff is less?

Also, does anybody know how the usps works? Do you have to pay them each time somebody buys? My husband usually ships my products with DC so should I just go with flat rate instead of integrading the usps?

I'm sorry for the questions but I'm switiching over to zen from cubecart and want to finally be able to charge shipping instead of always having to hike up my product prices to do it free.

I'm so lost lol

Nevermind...I got my usps integraded and now just have to set weight for my products :)
