Downloadable products help please

Hello

I set up a cart to offer several downloadable products including software (.zip) and audio (.mp3)

I created a new product an called it Test1 then went to extras>media manager and uploaded and assigned the mp3 to the product Test1.

I set the price to Free, and proceeded to "buy" the product, filled out the info, the notification went out of pending status, but no information regarding how to download.

Please offer me a place to start studying this online where I can accomplish the following:

For audio:
1. upload mp3s with files sizes up to 100 meg (1 hour)
2. Download the files from a non public link
3. Automatically allow the user to download at time of purchase, or from email furnished link to the mp3.

For software:
1. offer software "license" for set price
2. once the user purchases the license, I get a notification of their info, whereas I manually generate on my computer on a proprietary application using their info the serial number, then reply to the user with the serial number. An automated process to do this would be great, but not sure how to interact my email of notice of purchase with the special serial number app, then reply with generated serial number. Unless there is a means of running the app on my server in the background.

Sorry I see no option to delete or modify this thread.

The answer to my question was provided in another thread regarding the mp3 downloading.

Everything is working fine on the download.

The forum obviously has a neat setting to lookup similar threads to the one I was posting, so at the bottom of my thread there was an exhaustive discussion on the same subject which quickly solved my issue.
