Checkout Help required.

Hi

I am getting lots of people quiting my checkout at stage 2 and sometimes stage 4. I have contacted some of these and some have said that the continue button is missing. Most of these were using IE version 6, but some were on IE7. I have tried both but cannot see what they are seeing. Please could a few of you try it for me, and feedback what you are seeing. Please use an account name with something that indicates that this is a test transaction. The site address is chalfontonline.co.uk

Hi Laurie, everything seemed fine to me. All buttons were there as expected.

What I think *could* be the issue is that on steps 1 and 2 of checkout, you use the big, default 'Continue Checkout' buttons. However for step 3, you use a small, customised button to confirm the order, and it looks a lot different to the others. It was obvious to me what to do but maybe the customers you mentioned were expecting to see the default looking button?

I couldn't get past the shipping page (you don't ship to the US, I guess), but I noticed all your buttons are custom coded (big, and blue), but when you get to checkout, you're using the defaults, which are smaller and less noticable.

Thanks for the comments so far. Can anyone test this using IE6. One customer has told me that a continue button is missing during checkout, but when I test using IE6 all seems to be working.

Sporadic missing images could be an IE Peek-A-Boo bug in your template.
