Help! New user can't clear statistics

This is my first day to attempt to build any kind of web site/shopping cart, so please bear with me. I have searched forum for about 2 hours before posting this. Signed up with my host service yesterday - installed Zen today. Right off the bat for some reason it would not download properly, so the hosting support tech installed it himself, but explained that there was some information already in it so I just needed to go in and delete it. Well, gee thanks - how do I do that??

Sorry, to get to the point - the entries are in the admin home page under statistics. I was able to reset customers, and hit counter, but there are still entries showing in products, reviews, specials expired, specials active, featured products expired, featured products active, sales expired and sales active.

I looked in store manager to reset hit counter, but can not find the others??

Please help so I can get on with learning how to use this thing!

It sounds like they installed your cart with the demo products.

If you don't want them there, just go to Admin - Catalog - Categories/Products and delete the categories.

The demo products can be handy for understanding how some things work. I have a stock installation of Zencart installed in a separate folder on my site for reference.
