calculate VAT after discounts

Does anyone know what bit of code I need to edit to calculate the tax after the discount has been subtracted?

is the order tax stored in a session anywhere? I could calculate the correct tax myself and overwrite the stored order tax value

anyone have any ideas?

this is alive site and I am getting into trouble as the tax is not being calculated correctly.

will have to take the site down if i can't fix this quickly

Could you explain your problem in more detail (or point to a thread where you have described the error). It may be that we can help sort out the problem, without you resorting to 'correct the tax yourself' :)
