Hello! I'm using this mod and have it working just fine. Issue has been brought up from my SEO guy...We have Magic SEO URLs added on and this is what I've been told:

As far as I can see, the problem remains all those redirecting links. Google is unclear what your site structure is, so cannot award page rank.

Examples.

redirected to: http://www.doodlebuckets.com/persona...-splendor-2509

linked from page(s):

There are literally hundreds of these.

All of these are from the sitemap, so this may be why I cannot get any Pagerank on my site and why we are a bit stagnant in SERPS. Any help on this? Thanks!

All the Improved Sitemap Dsiplay add-on does is add a few additional features to the default Zen Cart sitemap.. It has NOTHING to do with SEO.. I would suggest posting your query in a new thread so that SEO experts can help you sort out the issue..

It's in the code of the addon for the sitemap. It's not displaying the URLs that Magic SEO generates...

Your Sitemap is getting its links from the Product Listing page.

doodlebuckets . com/babies-255/baby-bunches-283/

Baby Bunch Bouquet - Boy Gift Basket
doodlebuckets . com/baby-bunch-bouquet-boy-gift-basket-p-2804.html

But when one uses the link and goes to the Product Description page, the URL is changed to:
doodlebuckets . com/baby-bunch-bouquet-boy-gift-basket-2804

The SiteMap module would appear to be working as it should. The URL problem is a result of the Magic SEO rewrite which is also causing Duplicate Content - which is bad.

Exactly!!

Like I stated previously, all the Improved Sitemap Dsiplay add-on does is add a few additional features to the default Zen Cart sitemap.. It has NOTHING to do with SEO (and it does not affect how your SEO module behaves)..

I would suggest posting your query in a new thread so that SEO experts can help you sort out the issue.. The BEST solution though is to check in with the good folks who wrote and support the Magic SEO module.. Your issue is NOT this module but rather with your SEO module..

Wow.. in fear of getting beaten up with bold red letters, I humbly ask everyone's advice. Now.. I want to first preface this with "I am not blaming Improved SiteMap Display, or ANY other module for that matter for the problem I'm having". I'm just seeking help.

The reason for my post in this thread is because I noticed the problem shortly after installing this module. Now, that's not to say it wasn't happening before, I just didn't notice it.

The problem is this:

Anytime someone tries to checkout with paypal, I am getting arrays in my Paypal_Action_EC*.log files for ALL categories, ALL subcats, and ALL products.

Why might it be related to Improved SiteMap? I don't know that it is, but I just find it strange that it is ALL products, all categories, etc. Basically it spits out everything one would expect, such as the cart total, contents, etc., and then goes into the "category_tree" array. The below is a snippet of this, showing the start, then I cut out a large section and show the tail end of log. This is creating 47,398 lines total in the log...

This is a fairly simple mod that simply extends the default Zen Cart site map to include content it doesn't include by default..

1. ability to display products as well as categories
2. ability to display EZ-Page sidebox entries
3. The tpl_site_map_default.php is structured the same way the information sidebox is setup

I'm fairly confident that it doesn't affect any other modules. If you'd like to test this, then roll back to the default Zen Cart sitemap and see if the same issue you are currently having continue..

Hi Diva,

Tried to roll back already. I figured it wasn't this mod, but just took the chance :) Thanks for your reply. I actually think Dr. Byte found my problem. Now I gotta fix it :)
