Multiple Fulfillment Centers - Is there something like this?

OK, I am new to Zen Cart. I have been reading what I can so far. But I didn't find anything... Just wondering if something like this already exist, or can it be done.

I am setting up an e-commerce platform for a board game designer. My client already has distributors all around the world. And to save online customers from expensive shipping, he plans to appoint the distributors as fulfillment centers/agent.

I am planning to use the flat rate zone shipping with this. And I want to assign zones to certain fulfillment agents. So when an order is recorded, the assigned fulfillment agent will be notified with the shipping details, and process it. Agents must also be able to login somewhere and update orders with latest shipping status, tracking ID, etc ...

And fulfillment agent can only see orders with zones assigned to them.

So, is there something like this?

Or can this be done? Anyone interested?

I'm interested - we have two distribution centers, and we want the website to be able to send the shipping invoice to the appropriate center. We found a way to enter the two warehouse locations with separate zip codes, but no way yet to get the order system to know which one to send the order to.

Does this make sense? Is there a way to do this with the current system?

My gut feel is that kidino's needs will require some bigtime code writing, if it is possible at all to integrate these requirements...

I'm evaluating different carts at the moment. One of the main requirements is to direct orders to more than one fulfillment house.

anybody know if this can be done with Zen?
