upgrade says 2 versions

I moved the site from one host to another, no problem then once on new server ran upgrade but after when i check the version info it says
Zen Cart 1.3.7
Database Patch Level: 1.3.8
I have been not been getting paypal orders showing since i tryed to up grade but paypal worked fine before

What exactly did you do when you "ran upgrade"?

when i check the version info it says

Database Patch Level: 1.3.8

That suggests that you only upgraded the database, and didn't upgrade all your PHP files too.

we used to run the site on another host and still do that site works perfect so i ftp the site to my pc and back up the database, then i created a new database on the new host and uploaded the files from the oridginal site to the new host, I then uploaded a new install of zen and ran the install program and selected upgrade database i think that i have not installed properly

Did it work correctly at that stage?
If it did, great.
If it didn't, you should fix those problems before attempting to upgrade it.

Right, you probably need to do the file comparisons and merge your customizations into the new files, and ensure that all the new files upload correctly.
