I have a situation in which a customer could order a virtual product that is free - if it's the only thing ordered and the order total is $0, they get a "not shipping to your region" error. If that same item is ordered with other products there's no problem.
I want them to be able to order the free item on its own and be able check out. I've looked in all the places I can think of for a setting that might affect this but haven't figured it out.
Any wisdom appreciated.

Do you have the "Free Shipping" module enabled?
The "freecharge" payment module is also useful for allowing to complete checkout for $0 orders..

Thanks DrByte. I do have free shipping enabled. I did a search for "freecharge" module and came up empty. Is it called be something else?
After three straight and manic days spent getting this working this is the ONLY issue in my way - spit!

Yes - I just found it a couple minutes ago - did a couple tests and with that turned on I am allowed to checkk out with a $0 total. Bless you!
