Attribute Error Mulitple download/same product

Hi again all,

I am trying to setup a single product that is split into several downloads due to size of the files.

I have followed the FAQ page trying to set this up but get this error when I click "###### this to my cart"

On the Option for: download6 You picked an Invalid Selection

It says the file name is valid, not sure what I am doing wrong that is causing the error.

Can someone assist please?

I'm not sure what all of the
Attribute Flags: radio buttons are. The FAQ doesn't explain how to set them.

I need

1. the file name to be shown for display only to show the customer what files are included in the purchase.

2.) I have it set as radio buttons, I need those to be set to on by default

For multiple Downloads you need 1 Option Name and 1 Option Value for each of the Download filenames ...

Somewhere I have examples on setting up downloads, I believe in the tutorials/FAQs as well as on the forums ... but you would need a kind soul to hunt them down for you if you cannot find them yourself as I kinda sorta forget where I put them ...

That is the instruction sheet that I used, "How Do I add downloads to products? make products downloadable?". I assume that's the right tutorial.

I'll go over it...again. but in the meantime....

option value (check) USA_KW_SpringClean_Freebie_Papers1.zip

with the Invalid Selection error, it makes me think it is something in the radio box that I have set to stay on as default for each file?

To add a Download Attribute to a product

1. Go to Option Names ... and create an Option Name that is either Radiobutton or Dropdown ...
Call it something like: Download
2. Go to Option Values Manager and add what you want to call it ...
example: Zip File
If you have multiple choices you could have these as the Option Names you create:
- MS Word Zip
- Note Pad Zip
- etc.

It does not say READ ONLY as the Option Type is says Radiobutton or Dropdown ... do you see it listed elsewhere that reads READ ONLY?

I got it to at least go in my cart. just had to play with the attribute flags.

now to call my host about the Redirect ON. because I don't have the option to do it myself that I see.

then I can go further with the test check out.

Everything worked fine on testing on a Freebie product. I haven't seen anything on my host about setting redirect on.

What does the Redirect ON do exactly?

does that affect what happens after the customer pays, say via paypal, or any payment method for that matter?
