Searchbox font size

How do you change the font size of the text within the 2 search boxes in the sideboxes? Mine has gone absolutely tiny. All the other forms on the website are fine, it's just the search boxes.

Also, what files to I play with if I want to put the normal search sidebox into the header? I don't know why it's called header searchbox when it only gives the option of left or right columns.
