Image help!

Hello,

I am VERY new to Zen Cart (like, 24 hours), and also not very technically minded. So please be gentle!

I am also unsure if this is the correct place at the forum to post my query. Again, be gentle!

Here's my issue:

When I load images at a large size (around 440px wide), they look great in the "Larger Image" pop-up, but distorted in the smaller image spots.

When I load a smaller image, the distortion disappears, but the "Larger Image" view is not large at all. It is the same size as the smaller ones.

I have searched the FAQs about this, and also walked through the tutorial at this URL:

But I still can't seem to fix this issue.

From the tutorial above, I created _SMALL, _MED and _LRG batches of the same images. I loaded (via FTP) the _SMALL versions to the images folder, the _MED to the "medium" folder (sub-folder within images) and LRG to the "large" folder (sub-folder within images).

I then went back to Admin and loaded the small version of the images as per normal via the product listing. Now here's the thing: I am still getting the same small version appearing in the "Larger Image" pop-up.

I'm obviously missing an important step, but as I said, I am not very technically minded. Maybe Zen Cart isn't for a dimwit like me? LOL.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Oh, the other thing I am confused about - and maybe this is somehow related - is which parts of the template/cart correspond with all the different types of images listed under Configuration/Images in the Admin area.

Hi Siobhan, I suggest installing Image Handler.

A lot of people here use it to combat the problems you described.
