Can't login to admin after activating Ultimate SEO URL

I have installed Ultimate SEO URL and it all works fine, i.e. the urls are now url friendly. All would be great if I only could login to admin panel. I can get to the admin login screen by typing in the physical path (mysite.co.uk/admin/login.php) but after entering the login credentials I am for some reason redirected to the front ends login screen for customers!


To temporary get into the control panel I wanted to try to find the .php file where I could deactivate the module but am not sure in which file I could do that.

On another zencart installation on the same server and the same set up everything is working just fine. What I think may be the difference is one of the settings in the SEO_URL CONFIG - so if I could just get into the control panel.......

Hopefully this may be of use to someone else.

I had the same issue as above after installing Ultimate SEO URL's onto v1.3.8 and messing up the installation. I tried deleting all the relevant files and then found that my admin login screen redirected to the shop login.

Turns out I had put the new html_output.php file in the wrong place. It should go in: includes/functions/ not: admin/includes/functions/.

After reverting the file: admin/includes/functions/html_output.php to the original Zen-Cart one, the problem was solved.

I have since had another go at installing Ultimate SEO URL with success.

Just goes to show you need to be very careful uploading installation files.
