Changing Background Color of Item Descriptions

When I click on a category and list the items in that category, the display comes up with the list of items, the odd ones have one color and the even ones have another. The problem is that the odd ones have a black background which hides the text. Where in the code can I change the color of these tabs? Conversely, if that's not possible, where can I change the text color so that it will show against the black background? Thanks

Search your stylesheet.css for 'odd' and/or 'even'.
