URL shows up as an IP address

it works fine, but once you click a link ... like a product link.. the URL changes to

http://67.18.19.162/~dlovin/ZenCart/...index&cPath=65

How can I fix this?

I already used the developer toolkit and did a search for the IP address, nothing comes up.

Look at the settings, on the server, in the configure.php files:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

Are you using the IP Address or the domain name in the URLs?

Ok its fixed.

I had made that change already, but just to be sure i re-downloaded the config files and sure enough the IP was back.

I use filezilla and I didn't see the error saying I could not write over the config file because of the permissions... so i deleted it, reuploaded, and set permissions, and its all good

Thanks for the update that your configure.php was incorrect as when you loaded it to the server it was never really loaded due to permission errors and the old configure.php file was still there instead of the new one you "thought" you loaded ...

NOTE: this is not an uncommon occurance on files with permission settings of 444 and you will always need to either change the permissions or delete the file to load a new file ...
