The way it looks in Firefox is correct to a point but still a work in progress. However the differences between Firefox and IE are what i'm posting to fix.

Colorzilla and I can't find #666666 anywhere on that page, though I see it in the stylesheet.

Fixed the problem. Worked it out from using the Firefox developer add_on. The same border in Fire fox was referring to a default browser colour (moz-use-text-color). Figuring this out and that both browsers were using default colour i concluded that i had made a coding error in my style sheet.
