Automatic Download?

My downloads are currently set so they have to be approved by me first before they can be downloaded.
Isnt there a way to set it so its done automatically?
As in the customers pay, and then they automatically recieve the download email, without me having to go in and change it from processing to delivered?

Did you try setting the Order Status on the Payment Module(s) to be Delivered instead of Pending or Default?

NOTE: be careful about doing that on Payment Modules such as Check/Money Orders moneyorder as those you do not want immediate release ...

NOTE: if you later decide to have physical products, you may want to consider using Processing instead so the Download is released but the Order itself will not appear to be done until you have shipped it ...

Just a side question..i only accept paypal, so i take it i only need to change it for PP IPN and freebies?

Ok that didnt work

This is what i did....went to Modules>Payment and then changed the paypal and freebies order status to Delivered. I also set the default order status to delivered instead of pending.

None of these things made the download happen automatically.
I still have to go in and manually change it from processed to delivered, before the customers can download the product.

This is really frustrating, and i have read and tried everything i could find.

Please can someone help me.

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

What happens if you switch to Classic Template vs your custom template?

Is this a Clean Install or an Upgrade?

Version Zen Cart 1.3.7
I dont have a custom template. Use the classic.
And its a clean install. Never updated it, since i thought i had that latest version.

Ok this is REALLY doing my head in.
I got the paid downloads to work, but the free ones wont work for some reason

Im amazed there are actually any sane coders out there.

Check the Orders Status on The Zen Cart FREE CHARGE CARD freecharger to make sure you have that set to Processing or Delivered so that the downloads will be available immediately ...

I take it you mean Modules>Payment>Free(freecharger)?
If so, it was set to delivered the same time as the paypal one, which now works, but the free one doesnt.

I did the testing several times.
Once purchased, the bought item showes up with the download whenever i return to the site. Either after being redirected by paypal, or if i log in to "My Account".

With the free items, it goes through, but when it showes the final page, the free download doesnt have a download option, and in the "My account" it showes up as "Processing", even tho its set to "Delivered" in the payment module.
