Problem with music samples

Hello

I work on a site called findbliss.com. Recently we've noticed a problem with the music samples we have on the site. We have it set up so that when a user clicks on the music sample the sample plays through a small quick time pop up window. Recently we have noticed that in some browsers the pop is either replaced with an error message or in my case on my computer a download window pops up to download the sample on my computer and then the sample plays in iTunes which is not what we want.

The software on *your* computer is what's causing that. It sounds like your computer is set up such that your browser no longer attempts to play mp3 files directly, but instead passes it over to quicktime or itunes.

And, yes, some of your customers may have done the same to their computers.


As a workaround, you may have to find another way of playing your media files, perhaps via a flash program or some other embedded media player that you host on your server. Some people have had success implementing "wimpy" media player for their needs. Maybe it may work for you as well.

Flash hacks mod is one way of using flash. It has a simple MP3 player set up to make use of Media Manager.
