    Default ID Number Query

I am an absolute beginner trying to set up ZC on a couple of identical local PCs for learning and familiarization.
I have ZC installed in a functioning XAMPP environment on each.
I have just completed Chapter 3 in THE BOOK.
I have finished up with ID Numbers 1 and 2 in PC1 and ID Numbers 5 and 6 in PC2.
I know how this happened in my playing around, but before continuing I would like to have them both identical for comparison purposes as this is the main point in my duplicate setups.
I cannot find any reference to ID numbers anywhere and would welcome clarification if possible.
    TIA

If you're referring to product ID numbers, the fastest way to reset the database is to run the zc_install step again, which wipes the database clean. Then you can start over with your product entry.

Either that or you can study the database schema and adjust every place that the system-assigned ID number is used ... which is not exactly a quick-fix process. http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...atabase_Schema

Thanks very much DB for your prompt and comprehensive reply.
Would I be correct in assuming that there is no significant disadvantage in accepting the current situation and proceeding?
And that in my ongoing comparison between the 2 PCs, and in ensuing that I achieve similar results on each, I can ignore the actual ID numbers, as presumably they will get to be more and more different between the 2 PCs as my bumbling testing/learning proceeds?

That is largely a correct assumption.
