Connecting problem

I woke up this morning to this message on one of my sites:

Sorry!
There seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes to remedy the problem. Thank you.

I have 2 sites using zencart on the same hostingplan, and the other one is fine.
It was fine last night before i went to bed, but this morning i got that message.

I havent changed anything since then.

Can someone tell me whats going on? And how to fix it? Im very new to all of this, so please help me

If you are 100% sure that you did not change anything then first check that the Database still exists.

Record the DB name & user name and try to recall the password for the DB

Check your /includes/configure.php file that the DB Details match the above

Ok this seem to be the problem...

I accidently changed the password for the database, which &/%¤&¤& up things.

I looked at the file you said and changed the password in there to the new one, but it didnt help

Now what?

I havent actually changed anything inside the database. Just the password.

Ehm no i didnt change the info in that file actually, cos it wont let me. Says :
Cant open that file. Permission denied.

Ok i found the old password and reset it back to that.
Now it all looks normal again. Phew.

Knew it had to be something you did even though you stated that you hadn't changed anything!!!

Computers do not arbitrarily change themselves
