A credit card order was placed and the email that contains the middle 6 digets was deleted. Is there any way to get the CC info from a file or log somewhere on the server?

From my understanding that once that email is deleted that's it. The is the whole reason for getting the middle numbers emailed to you and not stored on the server, security.
Can you not just contact the customer and ask for the middle six numbers? I know that it is a little humbling, but better to keep the customer than beat around the bush or mess up their order.
Just a thought

Pretty much what I thought. Ok here is the wierd part. I thought the email must have been deleted by mistake. It was delivered at 5:29 this morning - 20 hours after the sale was made. Anyone have any idea why that would happen? Is this a Zen problem? I received email all day yesterday without any delays.

Many of us take for granted that email and other technologies are "instantaneous" and they do not always work that way. At times providers have problems with their servers, mail relays constantly get changed, and emails do not always get delivered in minutes.
One thing I have always gotten in the habit of doing (especially if using a webmail based system) is create another folder called order or something and move (or better yet copy) the email to that folder. Once the order is shipped I deleted the cc numbers for security purposes.
Glad to hear things worked out for you
