    Default Customizing Help

My mate has made a website and i wanted to make it a little better and i've never used zencart before so i'd just liek to know how to change a couple of things

1.He has changed the bold writing, and i couldn't find where to change it back. where is the file located? I know that the font underneath can be changed from the Admin cp in the page editor, but i cant seem to find the bold writing in there.
    2. The Top ezpage links, but i'd like to change them to an image instead of having them there.
3.I'd like to change the colour of the white bar there so i can add a logo with a different coloured background, and it wont look silly.

    4. Change the bottom page links (Add more) i'm guessing its in the admin cp. if not where?
    5. changeing Copyright notice at the bottom, along with removing the "Your ip is"

    Using: Zen Apple theme
    Thanks

Many (though not all) design elements in zencart are controlled by the stylesheets.

I assume you do not know much about CSS?

You may like to do some tutorials on CSS first. There are some very good ones at W3Schools (www.w3schools.com).

oh, no I'm familiar with most scripting languages, just not they way zen cart is constructed.

I've solved the header colour thing and everything except that bold text on the front page.. i just want to delete all of it... i got rid of the Customer Greeting. but still with the bold message >=[

    [Edit]
Oh and that string of links at the footer of the page, it only has one link "Home" i'd like to add more.

Adding more links in the header and footer:

    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=234

    Change copyright:

    /includes/languages/your template name/english.php

you are using the template override system I hope

Turn off IP address at the bottom:

Login in as admin click on configuration on the left side of the menu, choose layout settings, click on footer - show ip address footer, change to zero and click update.

The other problems I cannot do much with without having a link to look at I need to see the css layout as well as the ez-pages or someone else may be able to answer off the top of their head.

    Good luck...

Glad to discover that you have experience in the code side of things - that will make your life easier.

If you have the FIREFOX browser, install some of the add-ons that are available - such as FIREBUG, DEVELOPER TOOLKIT and COLORZILLA.

These help you to identify, look at (and manipulate) source codes (incl CSS) in an "off-line" mode.

When you're happy with your off-line edits, you can commit them to the live site.

Practically everyone offering advice on this forum makes use of firefox and its add-ons.
