Problem with header - tpl_header

I'm using v1.3.9h of Zen Cart and I'm having problems with the header.

Instead of showing the 'home' and 'log in' buttons, I'm getting
HEADER_TITLE_CATALOG & HEADER_TITLE_LOGIN.

I've checked other threads which mention header.php, so I looked into it that. I'm not positive but I believe the issue may be with tpl_header.php

This happened when I was following directions to change the headings.

Those are defined in (since you're using the Classic template - bad idea) includes/languages/english/classic/header.php, so that file is corrupted, missing, or has been edited improperly.
