Adding a Site Map and home page text

I inherited the management of a site (www.mikoncorpusa.com) and need to add a site map. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I also need to figure out how to add text underneath the phone number image on the right side of the page. I don't mind reading documentation but just need to know where to go. Thanks!

You might look at the Information sidebox to see how the link to the Site Map is made ...

contain the 2 pieces of the sideboxes ...
