help question Invalid File Name with Attributes

I am just opening up my store and having some problems with the downloadables. I have set up my attributes in the Option Names Mgr & Controller and everything goes just fine until it gets down to where you enter the filename of the zip. I keep getting a red circle for invalid. I have verified the file is in the download section of my File Manager on my host and still get the red x. Is there a configuration step I missed somewhere?

    Thanks
    Patty

Have you an example of the filename?

Are you using special characters or spaces etc?

Are you placing them in the /download directory?

Yes it's in the download directory and here's the filename:

    HSShadesofBlue.zip

I just don't get it unless it's some sort of admin setting I missed

What permissions are on the directory? on the file?

Try deleting the file in the /download via FTP and reload it again ... does it work now?

If not, could you post your configure.php file, from the server, without your username and password for:
    /admin/includes/configure.php

755 on the directory and 644 on the file itself. I tried reuploading it via ftp several time. How exactly would I post my config.php? I looked in there and didn't see anything unusual.
