Help regarding search

Hi,
I am using 1.3.8a on wamp.
There is 25000 products inserted in the database.
The problem i m facing is,when i give any keyword to my search textbox.It takes around 90-100 seconds to search the keyword in the database within given conditions.
I have used the contribution for optimize search..but it makes no difference to this issue
Is there any other method to make search faster...????
