Robots.txt and index.html

Hi all,
I'm wondering about/looking for, info regarding what specifically should be in the robots.txt and index.html files that I should and soon will have on my server.
I have checked both the wiki and forums, and cant find any info that gives me good insight as to what I should include.:unsure:

Re: Robots.txt and index.html

What "index.html" files are you referring to? You won't need one in your ZC root.

For index.html files in other directories (to prevent a display of the directory contents to the browser), the file is basically empty...
<html>
<head>
<title></title>
<style></style>
</head>
<body></body>
</html>
Thanks fairestcape, you just gave me some of that insight i mentioned earlier.

Do you know where I might get some more. (maybe a "things you do and dont need in zencart" for dummies)

And thanks Rob, your link provides more helpful info than I found on Googles webtools

Re: Robots.txt and index.html

For insight, just keep looking on the forum for solutions - most problems have been "fixed" countless times in the past!

When you truly can't find an answer, post a question. There are lots of experts around here (and I am not one of them!)
