Default Adding additional pictures da easy way :)

Hi, ive built up my website, i want to add additional pictures on a product.

But the way ive set it up i just upload the picture to the image folder, i have just 1 picture and have not put pictures in different folders such as medium and large.

So for example my main picture is in the Image folder caller spy_bag and i have uploaded the additional picture called spy_bag_01 but the additional picture dosent show.

What am i doing wrong, or do i need to reorganise everything into medium & large folders?

Hope somebody can help me. Thanks

Hi, thax for getting back to me :) ive read that and i still cant seem to get it to work.

Basically at the moment i have a picture called CHLOE DIA PAD PINK.jpg which i uploaded to the "main directory" on the drop down menu, when i created the product.

I then used my FTP program to upload my 2nd picture called CHLOE DIA PAD PINK 01.jpg to the same main directory.

But when i check my web page it just shows the original picture i uploaded, when i created the product.

I then tried changing the file names to:
    CHLOE_DIA_PAD_PINK.jpg
    CHLOE_DIA_PAD_PINK_01.jpg

But the picture turns really small.

Please can anyone help me I thought it would be easier then this to add additional pictures

    Thanks guyz

You're on the right track, I think, with the filename change. I don't think Unix/Linux allows spaces in filenames.

Your picture may appear small because the default settings told Zencart to make it that size. The image sizes are set in Admin, mostly in Admin - Configuration - Images. You might try adjusting things there.

A link to to your site would help us help you, too.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me . The link to the item iam trying to add pictures to is:

    http://shulab.co.uk/index.php?main_p...roducts_id=290

I then tried changing the file names to:
    CHLOE_DIA_PAD_PINK.jpg
    CHLOE_DIA_PAD_PINK_01.jpg

It still only displays my main picture, at a really small size, and no additional pix.

But when i leave the dile names as:
    CHLOE DIA PAD PINK.jpg
    CHLOE DIA PAD PINK 01.jpg

Again it only display my main pic, at the right size but still no additional pic's

    What happens if you do:

    CHLOE DIA PAD PINK_01.jpg

Too many underscores... the additional image recognition process looks at what's before the first underscore and "intelligently" sees if other images are related. Too many underscores confuses the program.

Image names should be lowercase (preferred for Linux Unix)

    No letter spaces

    ---------------------------------------------

    These will not work

    CHLOE_DIA_PAD_PINK.jpg
    CHLOE_DIA_PAD_PINK_01.jpg

    ---------------------------------------------

    These will work

    chloe-dia-pad-pink.jpg
    chloe-dia-pad-pink_01.jpg

    ---------------------------------------------

    Thanx guyz for your help

I tried your idea stevesh and renamed it CHLOE DIA PAD PINK_01.jpg you can chesck it out at http://shulab.co.uk/index.php?main_p...roducts_id=290

I was wondering is it possible to move the additional pic up a bit so its level with the "add to cart" button and maybe justified left. Or is that quite a difficult thing to do?

Again thanx stevesh & fairestcape for getting back to me
