Define main page spacing problem

Hi all,
I am trying to insert a few paragraphs of text in the define main page section using admin/tools/define pages editor. The text is nicely spaced out, but on my home page it appears bunched together without any line spacing. Anyone know how I can solve this? Thanks.

Are you using the text editor mode or the html area mode as your editor?

Select from the dropdown on the right before selecting a page to edit

Or enter as html code in the text editor

Since this is the closest post I can find concerning my problem I will ask the question here. I am defining privacy policy. I am using Plain text editor in define pages. I am using html code. My problem is when I try to copy and paste a link to my "contact us" page, it will not let me enter the underscores. Not even manually. (emporium/index.php?main_page=contact_us) I even tried it in htmlarea with no success.

Anybody have any ideas?
