When you say "modules", do you mean add-on modules that are resident in the DOWNLOADS section of this site?
...or modules that are an integral part of ZC - like shipping and payment modules?

Each add-on module in the downloads section would/should contain a readme.txt/install.txt file with instruction for that particular module.
