remove add box from multiple product listing page

hi,

on the product listing page where multiple items are displayed, some items have an Add:[ ] box and some just say ... more info.

where/how would i 1) remove the Add:[ ] box from the items that have one and 2) have all of the items display the text "click for more info or to purchase"?

Guess - Some of your products have attributes and some don't.

Those products without would show the button' those with, because you have to specify attributes, have 'more info'

yes many of my products have attributes. and you are correct, that is why they display the "...more info" link.

customers have commented that the display can be confusing because some products have the Add: [ ] box but others do not. and since i cannot remove all of the attributes from my products, i would like to know how to change the listing as noted (remove the Add:[ ] boxes and have all products display the text "click for more info or to purchase"...

I think you'll find the settings in admin > configuration > product listing > and then maybe 'Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location'

I might be wrong though as I am just guessing.

good guess! after adjusting some of the settings i was able to remove the buttons and box.


now if i can figure out how to add attributes to that display.... but that is another thread.

one more thing...

anyone know how to change the ...more info text info a [more info] button?

Again, just a guess but I think you'll find that text in english.php or one of the language files.
If not, just do a site wide search for that text and replace with a custom button.
