Default Attirbute Pricing + Shipping Properly

Hi Everyone! I have spent hours going through thread after thread and still haven't found exactly what I need.

First, I have to 1 dropdown menu which gives a minimum of 3 attributes which are downloads, which is no shipping cost. On a few products, I need a 4th attribute for a paperback copy which will be shipped.

    Example of what I need:

    Paperback 10.99
    PDF - 5.99
    LIT - 5.99
    HTML - 5.99

Now, I have this set to show:

    Paperback (+10.99)
    PDF (+5.99)
    LIT (+5.99)
    HTML (+5.99)

Now this works good and gives me the proper pricing in the shopping cart, however it won't show the smallest price of 5.99 in the top "Starting At:" Line. It leaves it blank. I need a price there, obviously the lowest price.

Next problem is getting the shipping sorted out.

Downloads (PDF, LIT & HTML) would be free shipping and the Paperback would be a cost of 4.50 for the first 3 copies and then an additional .50 per copy after that.

HOW??? Help someone. A great detailed walk through would be wonderful or a point in the right direction would be wonderful. I have been working on this forever now and simply can't get it right.

    Thanks,
    Kris

Do you have the Product Price set to 0.00 and the Product marked as Priced by Attribute?

If so, what happens if you switch to the Classic Template?

I have gone in and double checked...the price is set to 0 and it's marked price by attribute. I switched to the classic template and the same thing. Nothing listed as the starting price.

What Option Name Option Type are you using?

If you edit the Attribute do you see it marked as Yes include in base price?

If you mark it NO and do not include the Attributes in the base price ... then nothing is calculated into the Price and no price is displayed ...

Mark them all as YES include in base price and see if that helps ...

Did that. If I turn on either or both, then then add those above name prices to the base price. I am not selling a paperback book for $16.98 when they are supposed to be 10.99 or something similar. Thus my problem. If I put any kind of price in there and or turn any of those functions on then they add the attribute to the base in the shopping cart. The only way I can stop that function is to remove the price from the attribute. Which then leaves the starting at price blank.
