How can I pre-set the "Back to Shopping"?

I want to jump from an external link directly into the discount coupon page. That's no problem-- but I'd like to be able to have the "Back to Shopping" not default to the main index. Rather, I'd like to be able to somehow get it to go to a specific product, not the index.

In other words, normally the 'back to shopping' correctly returns to whatever page was previously viewed. On coming on from a separate web site (who's code I can change), I want the 'back to shopping' to go to a specified product id. No other restrictions are necessary (they can navigate around, etc). I just need to make that one step much easier for a particular audience.

Any suggestions?

Would this work? Customize the in-coming link to provide the product id as a parameter, then have the discount coupon page check it. If set, override the 'back to shopping' button construction? Is that feasible?

I'm having the same problem, but I don't seem to know exactly how to fix it.

My "back to shopping link" sends me back to the home-page, but I want it to go back to the product listing.

Where exactly is this setting/ or how can I edit it?
