Sideboxes gone after Template Override :S

Hello everyone,

I think I have a little problem with my zencart.

I'm currently customizing it locally, and started creating a custom template.

I started with the very basics i.e. followed the 2 following threads:

But what happens is that my left and right columns (with all the sideboxes obviously) just disappeared after I created my custom template.

I already repeated the process 3 times, and got the same problem.
I then tried to download and apply a ready-made template, the Cherry Zen one, and I still have the same problem.

I'll say it again, the only modifications I did were the one listed in those 2 tutorials, nothing more, nothing less.

I've checked the forum without luck, so could someone please help me ?

Sideboxes have to be reactivated on installing new template
i.e.
via admin, tools, layout boxes controller.

no you are not, you just saved me another hour of "folie" !!!

OK I got my sideboxes back, thanks for that !
