Monthly Specials Layout and sideBoxContent?

I Hope I'm asking in the right place, since I've searched and can't find anything that solves my problems. 2 problems currently to be exact.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, Please, go to my site, HERE and
1: look at the monthly specials box in the center column. Notice the products are stacked instead of lined up in a row? Yes, I do have the 3 columns per Row option clicked in admin, so that ain't it. CSS problem? PHP perhaps?
Ideas anyone?

2: Click on any category (especially Cameras and Optics) and look at the wierdness that happens as you mouse over the sub-cats. The jumping and resizing and misbehaving and juvenile delinquency that's going on . I'm sure that's all CSS, but can't figure out all the tweeks to fix it.

Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated!

I forgot to mention, these problems occur in Internet Explorer, NOT Firefox (at least not to any bothersome degree).
