Can Zen Cart be installed in to MSSQL?

I have never had the need, but I'm working with a new client that has a in house server running windows server I'm not sure just yet if it's 2003 or 2008 but they did tell me that they have ms sql installed and that's what they want to use.

With this they probably do not have php loaded either...

Zen Cart only has support for php/mysql

If this install of 2003-8?? - is their company network - for security purposes of their important company stuff it is not adviseable to run www access (IIS) open to the world first and not without a hardened Firewall appliance loaded with rules to protect the other server files...JMO

If this is to be a secondary income source for them, the cost of good offsite hosting is negligible.

Also, if they do not have valid and verified backups(many backup to tape and these get old and never verify that they can restore from them), you can Google about the cases of those that have lost their customer, accounting, payroll, and other pertinent files.

IRS cares not that you did not back up and will calculate the tax due and always to their benefit and one is defenseless to prove otherwise with out any records. Most go out of business in 1-5 years
