contact_us define page isn't working

I'm baffled. I'm running the most recent Zen version and when I edit the define pages for the contact_us page none of the new text shows up on the contact page in the Information box. I do get the contact info from the Configuration->My_Store
and the email form coming through OK, but none of the custom text comes through.

I have an almost identical cart running on another account and it works fine. I've diff'ed
all the core files and they look identical except for occasional ^M and newline differences.

I've tried to trace the logic of how the template override system works and I see the point
in includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_contact_us_default.php
where it looks like it should load define_contact_us.php, but nothing seems to get loaded.
I don't understand the override system well enough to see what's going on here.

Is there anything that I should check? Maybe some debug statement I can put in the tpl file to see what it thinks it is doing? Is there some special permissions problem? I've made the key files world readable.

I am running a custom template that I purchased from a web vendor. Everything is pretty simple it basically just changes the css sheets and adds some nice button graphics. I tried reverting to the classic template and the problem remains. My template is titled theme096.

Oh. I should mention that the other define pages do work. My shipping policy page and my privacy notice and conditions of use display and edit just fine. I even tried copying the content of my privacy notice to my contact page and the contact page still will not display the text.

My goal is simply to put a map on the contact page.

Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated.

OK. After making the posting, I checked out some of the related pages. Turns out
the problem was that this particular page had it's Config->define_page_status set to
zero. Sorry about the unnecessary posting.
