    Default Re: Site Loading Slowly

Ok, I've finally made some progress.

I remembered that in my dark days of X-Cart administration I would do a SQL export/import when things got real laggy and it would help for awhile at least. I've done this with www.giggles.com and I'm now seeing parse times of under a second.

    Parse Time: 0.592 - Number of Queries: 162 - Query Time: 0.0749620353241
    Parse Time: 0.779 - Number of Queries: 269 - Query Time: 0.114330349075

Don't know what magic that does to the DB, maybe reindexing?

Performance issues is giving me carte blanche to view your site

Perhaps looking at your site with firefox with firebug? Under net (in firebug) you can view the response times and file sizes per subitem.

If you add web developer (also a firefox add on ) you can test with or without the browser cache on (under disable)

What is the effect if you change the cache method (file or db ) in both configure.php's?

What does changing gzip under admin.

Check your html validation (via web developer under tools)

    Good hunting

Your godaddy seal is good for around 1 sec of the response time
