    Default Double slash "//" problem

    Hello,

    I have transferred my ZC to another server recently. All went smoothly except for the display of the images in one particular category, where they do not appear at all. Digging into source of the page, I can see that there is a double slash like those highlighted below
    Code:
    <tr  class="productListing-even">
       <td class="productListing-data" align="center"><a
    href="http://www.some-domain.com/en/jewellery-watches-56/police-jewellery-70/neck
    laces-74/blaze-necklace-antique-steel-wing-with-stone-221.html"><img
    src="images//police_jewels/21923PSE-01.jpg" alt="BLAZE Necklace Antique Steel
    that maybe shouldn't be there. Can somebody tell me, if this could the problem and where to go fix it?

    Thanks!

    Double slashes in this case should not cause this problem.

    Can we presume you have verified the images not showing are actually there?

    Hi Rob,

    the images are definitely there, there is no doubt. They just don't get picked up for some reason and displayed. In IE, at least an image placeholder is displayed, but in Firefox there is not even a placeholder. I encountered the two slashes only in category with this problems.

    You acan see what I meant HERE.

    Lagrange,

    It appears there is something wrong with some of your images. For instance,
    The image “http://www.velegram.com/images//poli...BLB-01-19.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
    and
    The image “http://www.velegram.com/images//poli...917PLE-02.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

    Something is there. But, they have errors. I would take one of them and reupload.

    Your double slash is not a 'problem'. But, most annoying. I would look at the config file first. But, I suspect that you have made a mod and put in an extra / somewhere.

    I found the solution

    The .htaccess file remained still in fully writeable mode (666), after I created a new one, as necessary to do if you want to make Magic SEO URL Mod working after server migration.

    Hmmm. Ok, if you say so. ;) But, using your link, I'm still seeing missing images due to there being a problem with them containing errors.

    Yes fourbit, if you click the links you provided in your earlier reply, error page comes up. But if you browse starting from homepage, everything seems all right.

    Cool. Silly me. I was still using the link you provided earlier. So, that may be the problem. Maybe that page is still cached on your site.

    But, Things look much better if you just go through the site.
