    Default New orders not showing up (altho email confirmation arrives)

    My webhost recently forced a change password on me, to access my webspace control panel. I did the password reset and all seemed fine until I discovered that for some reason the password change had killed the connection to all of my databases, for all of my stores.

    I spoke to the webhost who told me that it should not have had any affect on the stores or their databases, but clearly it did.

    I backed up the SQL databases, and restored them as new - I then changed the configure.php for both the site and also the admin side, which then allowed the site to connect to the database.

    I did this for all of my stores, and they all work happily again now, except that when a customer places an order it doesn't appear in the new orders list in Admin.

    I get an email notification of the order, and I receive the payment okay, but I can't see the order or customer anywhere in the Admin area.

    Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this?

    Any customer mods? That could screw things some things up as web paths change.

    Is your hit counter on your admin updating correctly? If not, that might be a hint that the admin directory's configure.php is not correctly linked to your database.

    What payment module is being used?

    When *you* place an order, to see what's going on, what happens to *your* order? And do you see any PHP or system errors on the screen? Do *you* get the order-confirmation email?

    The counter history in Admin looks right, so that appears to still be working.
    I haven't changed any of the mods, and so from my own testing I can tell you that they all appear to be okay, and generate an email confirmation to the customer (which I also get) and from my own orders, I get the confirmation (plus low stock warnings etc), plus the email letting me know an order has been placed.

    I am wondering if somehow the permissions have changed. Could it be that a permission for, let's say, the admin\configures.php has changed? Is it possible that a change like this would mean that ZenCart still deals with an order and processes it, but doesn't (or is unable to) pass the new information to the database?

    If so, can anyone tell me which files and what the permissions should be?

    I haven't changed anything, and I only reset the cpanel password, so this is a real mystery to me - particularly as it has affected 3 stores, all using separate databases.

    The payment modules used are PayPal IPN, Check/Cheque or Protx for credit and debit cards.

    Having tested these myself with test orders, all appear to work fine and no error messages are generated on the site. I do get the customer confirmation email.

    As a customer I am also able to log into 'my account' on the site, and I can see the order is there and is 'processing' (which is correct). So, I know that the database is therefore getting the order information and storing it. It just isn't adding this information to what I see in the Admin view, and so orders are not appearing there.

    I haven't installed the php error logger tool, but I will try that.

    If you change customer details via My Account, and then go to the admin side and look at that customer record, do you see the changes? Or does it remain unchanged?

    When the orders are "not showing in the admin", which payment module was used for those particular orders?
