Image issues with easy populate

Hello, hopefully some one can help me fix what should be a simple problem. I am uploading my database using easy populate but all the links to pictures dont work. When i go into a specific product after populating i can upload an image and it works fine but if i do anything with the "Or, select an existing image file from server, filename:" I then go to preview and the image just shows the pictures address and a broken photo image. If anyone can help me with this issue it would be very appreciated. I have to upload about 400 photos and really don't want to do them manually. Thanks

Understand that the image NAME in EasyPopulate is simply a REFERENCE - it is the Dbase REFERENCE, telling the code what the image is called, and where it resides.

The ACTUAL images are stored in the images folder, and the best way of getting them into that folder is to use FTP.

Make sure you set the FTP to BINARY MODE before porting the images to your server.

Yes i understand that. I tried using a reference image that i uploaded within the site as well as uploading an image using imageshack.us just to see if it made a difference and no matter where i reference the image from it shows a broken link. The images definitely work because if i go to the address that i used in the path it will load fine. Thanks again. maybe my zencart is just screwed up?

are your images in folders within your image directory? maybe your filepaths aren't correct..

How (and why) are you using Imageshack ...?

DOnt mean to hijak this thread, but thought it related..I understand that I cant upload images with Easypopulate in the form of URL's//But, thats how my supplier is sending them to me in a CSV feed, and I dont know what I can do ,, there is like over 10,000 products and there is no way im saving all those images and then rename them all in the spreadsheet.. Is there any Ad-ons or anything like that to let URL's populate the images via easy popualte??
