Out of curiosity, how does zen-cart handle SIM payments? Some sites I see you (as a customer) are transferred to the Authorize.net site, you make the payment. Then you are greeted with a button to click to return to the store. But if you don't click that button, how does the store know the order was processed? Does Authorize.net SIM have a IPN-like option where it automatically sends a reply back as soon as the payment is made, without the customer having to click the final button to send back to the store?

How does ZC handle it? seems like a lot of orders could either get lost or represented incorrectly.

That's one of the many reasons why we recommend AIM over SIM.
Anytime you have to be redirected to an external site for payment processing, you lose control of the flow and run the risk of the payment notification not being completed, or even add the risk of fraudulent completions.

And, no, Authorize.net does not have any IPN type of facility.
