Can't hide images; they still show even when set to 0.

This is my second post on this. Had this problem the other day then found the answer. Now can't do it again. I turned on images for my featured listing. Decided I didn't like the look, then went to turn them off again. They are still there. I have all the references I can find to showing images set to 0, but they are still there. What am I missing? Evidently, it's easy to turn them on, but they're stubborn about going off. Is there a cache setting that keeps them on? Or what?

I want that featured image to go away.

As an alternative, I'd like to know how to make it left aligned.

Image shows on the product detail page.

As mentioned, I have display product image set to 0 on the Featured listing, All listing and Product Listing config pages.

How do I really turn off images?

I'm going to just delete the image from the database since there doesn't seem to be anyway to turn them off.

So whoever's looking at this, don't assume the problem is corrected. I just gave up because there appears to be no solution and therefore this must be a bug.

If someone can tell me how to reformat where the image appears in relation to the text in the featured listing, I'll turn them back on.
