SSL configuration help

Hi,

I'm new to SSL and zen cart in general.

I have got a verisign test certificate to test my install etc and have configured it to allow access to my site via https: addresses, this works fine but i am now able to access all pages from either http or https addresses. This means that my admin pages for zen are available from https:// but also it is possible to just remove the "s" and still acess the pages. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Zen Cart - if configure.php is correct - automatically switches to https when needed and then back when not to keep thing faster.

Why would one intentionally and manually remove the "s", and enter sensitive info as insecure?

Thanks for the swift response.

Is this normal behavior? I would have assumed either a page not available message or a redirect to the secure area. I agree that someone is unlikely to remove the "s" on purpose but surely it could happen by accident. (A botched copy and paste job etc).

If your host has provided mod_rewrite for you - then you can configure your htaccess to do this - See the instructions HERE
