Problem uploading with Easy Populate

Hi

I have Easy Poplulate 1.2.5.4 and i am hosing with 1and1.

I could upload my products yesterday but i cannot today, i get a error 500, but i can still download files.
Can someone please help!

Also i dont know much on coding.

I think you have to CHOMD your file directory.

Which directory? I have 777 - all writeable for my temp folder.

I am having the same problem Talked with my server tech support and they sent me this

We have checked the issue and was able to duplicate. Seems that the script is getting timeout. In our server the script should execute within 60seconds else it will timeout and throw the 500 internal server error. The same thing is happening here.

Since this is a third party application we will not be able to help you in downloading the file. You can try to contact your vendor and tell them to provide a copy of this txt file so that you can download this through FTP.Once again we do apologized.


Any Ideas on what I need to do the file sizes I am running are no more than 300 records

Ok what is CHOMD?

PCE are you on 1and1 as well? CHOMD is permissions to folders basicly. You can change this in server control panel or most FTP programs, you want all writeable which is typically 777.

My records are divided in 300 as well, and I get time out. One or two will work, then once its done. .its done. .it wont do a single other one. So weird. Anyone know a work around?

No I use pow web for hosting. But that is exactly what is happening to me was working fine last night now just 500 errors even if I try to upload just 10 records. Is there another option besides Easy Populate?

easy populate is the only zen cart csv or txt catalog upload I have found. This is the only thread that I have found in hours of searches for an error 500 . Is there any one with php or htacess knowledge that can help us in this situation?

I had the exact same thing. I was uploading split text files just fine and after about 10 files it quit! Error 500 no matter what. I even tried deleting the txt files out of my temp folder and starting again from the beginning. Now, no matter what, I get a 500 error. Even just trying to split a file - error 500. Great!
